Become a Member
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Santa Barbara County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (SBC-VOAD). Through our joined forces, we will promote preparedness and safety and will strive to meet our four principles:
COOPERATION - Forster cooperation among members at all levels and in all phases of a disaster.
COORDINATION - Coordinate the development of our policies and procedures and the implementation of services among our members. SBC-VOAD will serve as an advocate and liaison between members, the Emergency Operations Center, and local government first responders.
COMMUNICATION – Exchange and disseminate information among members, the public, local, state, and federal agencies, in conjunction with the individual VC-VOAD members.
COLLABORATION – We dedicate ourselves to working together to achieve specific goals and undertake specific projects at disaster sites. We form partnerships during disaster response.
Organizations active in disaster recovery - $35 annual dues
Government agencies and related groups - $0 annual dues
Member organizations that wish to demonstrate an extra level of support for Santa Barbara County VOAD - $1,000 annual dues
A member organization participating at a leadership team level and eligible to join the Steering Committee - $70 annual dues
Other organizations wanting to participate in VOAD - $100 annual dues
As of December 2022, we have an updated system for membership.
All new members need to complete a SBC-VOAD Member Form so we can be sure to have accurate information on organizational contacts and resource capacities.
